Can you really get into the best shape of your life after 40?  You bet you can!

Whether you are male or female, if you are over forty then maybe you've started to feel that physically your best days are now behind you.  And who would blame you, with so many work and family commitments to juggle, how on earth do you find time to prioritise health, fitness & nutrition? But what if I told you that by simply prioritising your effort on what really works, and with a few simple changes in lifestyle, that you could literally get into the best shape of your life, all within a matter of months.  And what's more, that you could then sustain it, year after year.  And by the way, none of this is particularly complicated, despite what the diet and fitness industry would have you's actually very simple and straightforward.  That is of course when you finally find an enjoyable system that allows you to work with your body and not against it. 


I'm talking about a system of training and eating that prioritises lean mass gain and fat burning to dramatically improve your body composition.  And yes, these two processes are not mutually exclusive, they can happen at the same time as part of your body's re-composition.  In fact, my approach works so well that even in your forties and fifties you will find you can still add plenty of lean muscle and drop fat to reveal a sculpted body and maybe even a 6 pack!

And whilst the majority of male clients will want to add a decent amount of muscle tissue to their frame, female clients need not worry about becoming overly muscular and losing their curves.  Muscle building is a slow process for women, but it is critical as you age to maintain muscle tissue for many health-related reasons.  Not only will you feel stronger and fitter, but your body will become toned and your metabolic rate increased, giving you a leaner appearance and allowing you more flexibility with your diet.


Becoming and looking super-fit is an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision.  And let me reassure you that it doesn't have to feel like a chore either.  There will be stimulating and enjoyable workouts, active rest days, & plenty of nutritious food that tastes great, satisfies your hunger and fuels those workouts. And yes there will be a sore muscle or two along the way, but the amount of fun and levels of energy you will experience will far exceed any temporary discomfort.

How do the Personal Training & Nutrition Coaching programmes work?

My fitness programmes are custom designed to your circumstances and are based on prioritising only what works to get the maximum results in the shortest time possible. They develop sound functional fitness using resistance training, and apart from regular brisk walks in the great outdoors, I don't advocate any boring steady state aerobic training. As I've said several times already, to create a dramatic change in body composition we have to prioritise those things that really work, and in my experience it really boils down to resistance training and brisk walking, not hours of jogging on a treadmill or pedalling a stationery bike! 

And of course what we eat is vital to fuel our workouts and improve body composition.  As any nutrition coach will tell you, "you can't out train a poor diet".  That is why I also offer nutrition coaching that is research based, life-changing personal nutrition and lifestyle coaching.  This system has been tested by Performance Nutrition worldwide with over 100,000 clients taking a structured, systematic, science-based approach.  As a PN1 certified coach I will teach you techniques that really work, to build a sustainable lifestyle approach to nutrition so that you will never have to go on a fad diet again!
